This page features a list of generic rune builds for individual monsters. These builds are meant to be as general as possible in order to accommodate a wide range of different monsters.

List of generic rune builds[]

Build 4-set 2-set Suggested stats Useful for Description
Early tank Violent Energy/Guard Hp, Def All Energy and guard sets provide good early boosts to HP and defense, allowing a simple tank to be made early in the game.
Early attacker Fatal Blade/Will Atk, CR, CD All Fatal sets will provide a good early bonus to attack, creating a simple and effective build for early attackers, and also mid to late-game attackers if good substats can be added.
General support Swift Focus/Energy/Endure/Nemesis Spd, Hp, Acc All Swift runes combined with various 2-set runes allow for optimal speed, which is good for a variety of support roles for all stages of the game.
Advanced attacker Rage Blade/Will/Fight Atk, CR, CD Mid-End game Rage runes allow for optimal balance between attack and critical damage, allowing for an attacker that is optimized for mid to late-game, especially with good runes.
Violent attacker Violent Blade/Revenge/Will/Fight Atk, CR, CD End game Violent runes built with an attack setup allow for spamming damage, which is good for a variety of attack based monsters.
Swift attacker Swift Blade/Will Spd, Atk, CR, CD Mid-End game Swift runes give a nice speed bonus to help complement monsters with speed based attacks, or for offensive monster who simply benefit from having high speed.
HP tank attacker Rage/Violent Blade/Revenge/Energy/Endure Hp, CR, CD Mid-End game Rage and violent sets combined with an HP based setup allow for maximum damage for HP monsters with good damage skills.
Defense tank attacker Rage/Violent Blade/Revenge/Guard/Endure Def, CR, CD Mid-End game Rage and violent sets combined with a defense based setup allow for maximum damage for Defense monsters with good damage skills.
Support stunner Despair Focus/Energy/Will/Endure Spd, Hp, Acc Mid-End game Despair runes allow for stun potential, especially for monsters with AOE attacks.
Despair attacker Despair Focus/Blade/Revenge/Will/Fight Atk, CR, CD, Acc Mid-End game Despair runes allow for stun potential, especially for monsters with AOE attacks.
Violent supporter Violent Focus/Energy/Will/Nemesis/Endure Spd, Hp, Acc End game Violent runes combined with a balanced setup allow for spamming support skills. Good for monsters with a support role.
Self-sustaining attacker/farmer Vampire Blade/Revenge/Nemesis Atk, CR, CD, Spd Mid-End game Vampire runes add survivability to any high damage dealer. Allows for creation of a good high level farmer, or a self-sustaining attacker.
Basic bomber Fatal Focus/Will/Endure/Fight Atk, Acc, Spd All Fatal runes maximize attack, which is the most essential element in bombs. Simple and effective bomber build for all stages of the game.
Violent bomber Violent Revenge/Will/Focus Atk, Acc, Spd End Game Violent runes help maximize turn potential to allow bomb stacking potential, as well as acting as a soft counter to resistance.
