Areas of use Useful for Rune/stat requirements
Tartarus' Labyrinth End-game Medium-High

This is a good end-game team designed for taking on Kotos on Hell difficulty in Tartarus' Labyrinth. Most party choices are end-game monsters commonly used in other end-game dungeons and areas, making this team a good choice for those not looking to invest in a lot of new monsters. Alternatively, this team can also be used to take on Leos on Hell difficulty as well.

Core team[]

This team takes advantage of the immunity and invincibility buff provided by Chloe to cover the team against Kotos/Leos' initial attacks. The first turn is dedicated to setup from Galleon and Stella, inflicting a Defense Debuff and Branding on Kotos/Leos, so that nuking skills can be spammed after he makes his first attacks harmlessly on Chloe's shield.

End game

  • Galleon provides that all important first turn setup with both an Attack Buff and Defense Debuff, which is important for maximizing damage on Kotos/Leos. This also allows players to quickly and effectively deal with the early trash monster waves before facing Kotos/Leos himself.
  • Galleon should ideally be built as a pure support monster, emphasizing speed, and survivability through HP and defense. That said, hybrid support/DPS setups emphasizing speed and attack, critical rate, and critical damage can also work as well. In either case, accuracy should be a priority to ensure he doesn't get resisted when applying his debuffs.
  • A Swift rune main set is ideal, although Violent runes also work as well. Do keep in mind that turns in the boss stage are fixed, so there's a chance that Galleon could rack up too many consecutive turns, and possibly steal a turn from one or two of his team mates.

  • Chloe provides two important buffs for team, Immunity and Invincibility. The Immunity shields the team against Continuous Damage or Freeze during the boss fight, guarding against an instant team wipe. The Invincibility provides a guaranteed one turn of complete protection against Kotos' initial attacks, which is helpful when running a team of mostly squishy DPS monsters.
  • Chloe can be built as a pure support monster, with speed, HP, and defense as priority stats. She should ideally be the fastest monster on the team, as this will allow her to get a second turn during the boss stage, after all of her team mates have moved. Alternatively, she can also be built as the slowest member of her team to ensure she moves after her team mates, and to guard against an unexpected Violent rune activation from her team mates. This will conflict with her role on many other teams however.
  • A Swift rune main set is ideal. Violent runes should be avoided to ensure she doesn't steal her own second turn, should she be built as the fastest monster on the team.

  • Stella provides terrific DPS support, and brings that all important Branding debuff against Kotos/Leos, which is important for YOLO attempts against him. She also does a good job of disposing of the early trash monster waves due to her high DPS potential.
  • Stella can be built as a pure DPS monster, with an emphasis on speed, attack, critical rate, and critical damage. A decent amount of accuracy should also be added on to ensure she gets her Branding off against Kotos/Leos.
  • A Swift set synergizes well with her third skill, which adds more hits when her speed is higher. Alternatively, Fatal or Rage sets work as well, provided her speed is gained from sub-stats and/or a speed rune on slot 2.

  • Xiao Lin is an amazing DPS monster, who already plays a strong role in Rift of Worlds against the Raid Boss, making her far from a wasted investment. Her primary role against Kotos/Leos is to utilize her third skill once all the buffs and debuffs have been set up and Kotos/Leos has used up his initial attacks. Her third skill works really well against Kotos/Leos as it gains an additional 15% in damage for every debuff on the target, synergizing well with the Defense Break and Branding. And once Kotos/Leos has used up his initial turn, he will be the only target on the field, allowing Xiao Lin to land all four of her hits on Kotos/Leos himself.
  • Xiao Lin can be built as a pure DPS monster, with an emphasis on attack, critical rate, and critical damage, with a bit of speed on the side.
  • Fatal or Rage sets work well to help augment her damage, although other sets may be used when appropriate, depending on her role in other teams. Avoid Violent sets so she doesn't steal a turn from a team mate.

Her primary role against Kotos/Leos is to utilize her third skill once all the buffs and debuffs have been set up and Kotos/Leos has used up his initial attacks. Her third skill works really well against Kotos/Leos as it gains an additional 30% in damage for every debuff on the target, synergizing well with the Defense Break and Branding. Her third also gains an additional 30% against boss monsters, since they cannot be put to sleep, further adding to her amazing single target nuking ability. Her second skill also allows further debuff setup against Kotos/Leos to both lower his damage potential should things go wrong, and increase the damage from her third skill. Her second also works really well when dealing with the early trash monsters leading up to the boss stage. Her only drawback is her fire typing, which will make her potentially glance when going up against Leos.
  • Brandia can be built as a pure DPS monster, with an emphasis on attack, critical rate, and critical damage, with a bit of speed on the side.
  • Fatal or Rage sets work well to help augment her damage, although other sets may be used when appropriate, depending on her role in other teams. Avoid Violent sets so she doesn't steal a turn from a team mate.

  • Katarina is a superb DPS monster that's already commonly used in Guild Battle teams, making her an efficient investment. She is mainly here for her third skill, which deals armor ignoring damage when she has an Invincibility shield on herself, allowing her to synergize well with Chloe. That Kotos/Leos leaves himself as the only target after his first attack means all of Katarina's hits will land on Kotos/Leos himself, making Katarina a great choice for those needing some extra damage. Her only drawback is her wind typing, which will cause her to glance on many of her hits when facing off against Kotos.

General usage[]

  • Make sure to dispose of the early trash waves without taking too much damage or losing a monster before the boss stage. Chloe helps with this, acting as a target for attacks due to her fire typing, as well as providing heals.
  • Once at the boss stage, make sure to utilize your skills in this order:
  1. If Chloe is first, make a simple attack on the boss, or provide a heal if needed. Don't use her shield just yet.
  2. Use Galleon's third skill to get the needed buffs and debuffs.
  3. If Stella is going next, make sure to land her Branding on Kotos/Leos.
  4. If Xiao Lin goes next, make sure not to attack the Kotos/Leos directly. If she brings down his HP to the 75% threshold, he will instantly absorb his runes and proceed with his first attacks, which will result in an automatic fail in most cases.
  5. With your last DPS monster, make an attack on a target other than Kotos/Leos for the above reason.
  6. On your sixth turn, have Chloe cast her shield. Now your team should be protected against Kotos/Leos' first attacks. Once you regain control, simply starting spamming all your DPS skills in succession. Chloe's Immunity buff will provide continued protection against Continuous Damage or Freeze and the threat of a team wipe, each time Kotos/Leos loses 25% of his HP and gets a turn off.
  • If Kotos/Leos has a Will rune tower beside him, make sure eliminate it with your spare DPS monsters, otherwise he will cleanse himself of all your debuffs once he gets his first turn off, resulting in an automatic fail. Xiao Lin and your extra DPS monster can perform this role.

Strengths[]

  • Relatively quick runs.
  • Efficient monster usage, eliminating the need to work up new monsters in many cases.

Weaknesses[]

  • Somewhat unreliable as an ill-timed resist or Violent rune activation can potentially result in an automatic fail. Monsters not landing critical hits can also ruin attempts as well.

Additional notes[]

  • Since this is a YOLO team, everything needs to go almost perfectly to beat Kotos/Leos. As such, players may need repeated attempts to pass.
